In 1946, just after World War
II, a defense contractor who was retooling for the commercial market laid off my father, Giovanni Tacinelli. He was working on his home at the time and because of the lay off decided to install, sand and finish his own wood floors. He had a natural talent when working with wood and a quality work ethic, so the floors came out beautiful. After he was done, friends and family saw the work and asked if he could do their floors. He took the equipment he had bought, put them in the back of an old black van and a legend in the wood flooring business had begun. He started his business by making his friends his
customers; and maintained his business by making himself a friend to his customers, by giving them the quality job they deserved.
My father was a small town “quality” guy who took pride in his work and by doing so, made peoples dreams a
reality.
Now coming up on 60 years, Tacinelli Hardwood Flooring still does business with the same core values it started with; building lasting relationships through individual
Wood Flooring Specialists who, like Giovanni, take pride in seeing your project through to a prompt completion. They follow a rigorous training program to make sure my father’s core beliefs and quality of work are maintained, so that you get the best job possible. You really get the best of both worlds.
